At Motiveworks Auto, we built our shop to change that experience entirely. Located at 11480 Cherokee St., Unit H. in Northglenn, CO, we’re here to offer something this community deserves: real people, real communication, and repairs done with pride.
Our Northglen Auto Repair Shop’s Story
Built From Friendship, Community, and Experience
Motiveworks Auto began long before the doors opened in December 2025. It started in 2017, when two coworkers, Ian Scovill and Somboun “Boun” Kongsouphone, found themselves working side-by-side in Broomfield. Over years of working together through high-pressure days and developing relationships with customers, they built a partnership founded on trust and shared values.
Both Ian and Boun grew up in the area that Motivework Auto serves. Their families are here. Their kids are here. Their lives and roots are here. And after spending more than a decade serving locals, they realized they could offer something better than the typical corporate-run shop. Motiveworks Auto was built with their own hands, their own savings, and their own standard for how people should be treated.
Meet the Owners
Ian – Ian started his career in the automotive industry in 2015, washing cars at a Mercedes-Benz dealership before moving into a porter role, a lube technician position, and eventually a service advisor. His natural ability to communicate clearly and compassionately led him into management, where he earned awards for customer service and retention. Trained extensively through the Automotive Training Institute (ATI), Ian thrives on helping people feel supported during stressful repair situations.
Boun – Boun began in 2007 while pursuing his automotive associate degree at Westwood College. After years of mastering everything from car maintenance to full engine replacements, he spent nearly a decade focused on drivability and electrical diagnostics. He became a shop foreman in Broomfield and developed a passion for training and leading technicians. Boun holds ASE certifications and EPA 609 certification, and he has intentionally trained on nearly all makes and models to serve every type of driver who walks in the door.
Outside the shop, Ian and Boun spend their time outdoors, overlanding, exploring the Colorado mountains, and being with their families. As part of the shop’s commitment to stay involved in the community, we participate in Brakes for Breast Cancer every October and are continuously exploring partnerships with local schools and programs.
